Liverpool have faced challenges on the pitch this season, but manager Arne Slot remains confident the team can improve. The Premier League champions have struggled to break down defensive teams, and recent losses to Crystal Palace and Galatasaray have exposed inconsistencies in their play.

Slot said the issues are not new. Opponents have adapted their tactics since last season, making it harder for Liverpool to convert possession into goals. The club’s summer signings—Florian Wirtz, Alexander Isak, Jeremie Frimpong, and Milos Kerkez—are still adjusting, while Alexis Mac Allister is recovering from a groin injury.

Despite these setbacks, Liverpool remain at the top of the league. Slot emphasized that solutions are possible, particularly by improving set-piece effectiveness and adjusting tactics against low-block defenses. He highlighted the squad’s versatility and stressed that consistency and patience will be essential as players settle into their roles.

Slot said the team must focus on creating chances and unlocking tight defenses. Maximizing the potential of new signings will be crucial to regaining momentum. “There are things we definitely have to improve. I’m the first one to acknowledge that,” he said, showing optimism that Liverpool can find their rhythm as the season continues.

The manager remains upbeat about the team’s prospects, believing that tactical adjustments and player development will help Liverpool overcome their current challenges. Fans can expect the club to refine its approach and regain consistency in the coming weeks.
