Ousmane Dembélé won the men’s Ballon d’Or at a glamorous ceremony in Paris, celebrating both his strong performance for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and the team’s Champions League win. This award marks a remarkable comeback for Dembélé, who struggled at Barcelona before joining PSG. Dembélé scored 25 goals in 20 games from December to March, helping PSG dominate in the Champions League final against Inter. Emotional at the ceremony, he thanked his family, team, and especially his mother.

In the women’s category, Aitana Bonmatí won the Ballon d’Or for the third year in a row, despite losing key finals to Alessia Russo and her team. English football had a strong night as Sarina Wiegman, England’s head coach, won the Johan Cruyff award for top female coach, and Hannah Hampton, England’s goalkeeper, won the first-ever women’s Yashin Trophy. Arsenal was named club of the year.

Other winners included Lamine Yamal, who took the Kopa Trophy for best young player, Viktor Gyökeres, who won the Gerd Müller trophy for highest-scoring men’s player, and Gianluigi Donnarumma, who received the men’s goalkeeper award. The event highlighted Paris and PSG’s growing status in European football, combining star power with a glamorous red-carpet show.
