Richmond, Australia – Richmond Tigers veteran Dion Prestia has suffered another injury setback and will miss the start of the AFL season after an Achilles tendon issue flared up during training. “Unfortunately, Dion has an Achilles issue that will require a rehabilitation phase over the coming weeks,” Serpell said.
“He has put in a solid amount of work across the pre-season and was in excellent condition. However, we now need to focus on getting his Achilles right, which will likely rule him out for the early rounds of the season.”
This latest injury raises concerns about Prestia’s durability as he enters the later stages of his career. Richmond’s medical staff will monitor his progress, but there is no set date for his return.
