Tom Holland was injured on the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day on Friday, reportedly suffering a mild concussion during a stunt. The incident occurred at Leavesden Studios in Watford, UK.
Several Hollywood outlets, including The Hollywood Reporter, Deadline, and Variety, confirmed the injury. Holland hit his head while performing a stunt and was taken to the hospital. No other cast or crew members were reported injured.
The following evening, Holland attended a charity dinner with his father, Dominic, and his fiancée and co-star Zendaya, but reportedly left early after feeling unwell, according to The Sun.
Filming was suspended on Friday, and Holland will take several days off as a precaution. Sony Pictures, co-producing the film with Marvel Studios, plans to meet on Monday to decide how to continue production.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled for release in July 2026 and will mark Holland’s fourth lead role as the web-slinger, following Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019), and Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021).
Returning cast members include Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner, Jon Bernthal as the Punisher, and Michael Mando as the Scorpion. New additions to the franchise include Liza Colón-Zayas (The Bear), Tramell Tillman (Severance), and Sadie Sink (Stranger Things).
