Meta has unveiled its latest wearable technology: the Meta Ray-Ban Display AI glasses and Meta Neural Band. This launch introduces a new kind of AI eyewear that keeps users connected to the world while providing digital assistance. The glasses feature a high-resolution, full-color display that appears only when needed and is positioned to the side to avoid blocking the user’s view. They allow users to check messages, preview photos, see translations, and access Meta AI without having to take out a phone. The design supports short, controlled interactions, helping users complete tasks efficiently without interrupting their day. Unlike previous wearables, these glasses combine cameras, microphones, speakers, and a display in one stylish, lightweight device.

The Meta Neural Band is an EMG wristband that converts muscle signals into commands for the glasses. Users can scroll, click, and navigate content with subtle hand movements without touching the glasses. This technology is based on years of research involving nearly 200,000 participants, making it usable by almost anyone. It also supports people with limited mobility, tremors, or missing fingers. The band is highly accurate and can detect movements even before they are visible. Designed for comfort, it offers up to 18 hours of battery life, an IPX7 water rating, and is made from Vectran, a durable and flexible material used in Mars Rover landing pads.

Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses bring Meta AI to life with visuals, showing answers and step-by-step instructions directly on the display. Users can easily move through tasks with simple gestures on the Neural Band. Messaging and video calls are hands-free, allowing users to view short texts, WhatsApp messages, Reels, and multimedia content while staying present. Live video calls can also share the user’s view in real time. The glasses feature a real-time camera viewfinder and zoom, making it easier to capture perfect photos and videos and share them instantly. Pedestrian navigation shows walking directions directly on the display, reducing reliance on phones, with more cities added gradually. Live captioning and translation allow users to follow conversations and understand different languages while staying engaged. Music playback is also integrated, letting users swipe through tracks, adjust volume, and control playback with intuitive gestures.

The Meta Ray-Ban Display AI glasses and Neural Band start at $799 USD. They will be available on September 30 at select US retailers, including Best Buy, LensCrafters, Sunglass Hut, and Ray-Ban stores. Verizon stores and international markets, including Canada, France, Italy, and the UK, will follow in early 2026. The glasses come in Black and Sand colors and feature Transitions® lenses for indoor and outdoor use. Battery life lasts up to six hours with mixed use and up to 30 hours using the portable charging case. The Neural Band is available in three sizes to ensure a perfect fit.

With today’s launch, Meta now offers three types of AI eyewear: camera AI glasses, display AI glasses like the Meta Ray-Ban Display, and augmented reality glasses with large holographic displays. The Ray-Ban Display represents a leap forward in wearable technology by combining intuitive AI, hands-free control, messaging, navigation, photography, and translation in one device. Meta emphasizes keeping users connected, present, and empowered while interacting with the world around them. These glasses mark a new era for AI eyewear, blending technology seamlessly into daily life while maintaining style and comfort.
