Las Vegas, long one of America’s top tourist destinations, is facing a downturn in visitor traffic. Data released by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) shows that the number of visitors has fallen in each of the first six months of the year.
In June, visitor traffic dropped 11% compared to the same month last year. Alongside the decline, hotel rates and revenue per room also slipped, signaling broader concerns for the city’s hospitality and entertainment sectors.
The slowdown in tourism is significant for Las Vegas, which heavily relies on hotel bookings, casinos, and conventions to drive its local economy. Experts warn that continued declines could ripple beyond the city, potentially impacting the broader U.S. economy.
